💋 About Me — C.L. Osborne
I was born and raised in Little Rock, and that Southern foundation still shapes how I see the world and how I write. I’ve traveled extensively throughout the South, and those experiences find their way into her stories. My characters feel grounded because they come from somewhere real. By day, I’m a middle school teacher in North Texas, which means my life is full, fast-paced, and never boring. Teaching has given me a deep understanding of people, how they think, how they grow, and how complicated emotions can be, even when we try to simplify them. That insight carries directly into my writing. I’ve always been drawn to stories that sit just beneath the surface. The ones that live in quiet moments, in things left unsaid, in the tension between what people feel and what they’re willing to admit. Long before I ever thought about publishing, I was writing my stories.  I don’t create perfect characters; I create human ones.Â
I’m currently working toward my master’s degree in creative writing, continuing to refine both my craft and understanding of storytelling. Writing has been a constant for me since high school, when I first stepped into a creative writing classroom and realized there was space to build entire worlds out of emotion, tension, and connection. That spark never left.Â
At home, life is just as full. I have a teenage daughter who keeps me on my toes and reminds me daily that growth, change, and resilience are ongoing processes. When I’m not writing or teaching, you can usually find me crocheting, baking, or working on diamond art. Â
As an author, I write contemporary romance that leans into emotional realism and undeniable chemistry, though I do like to dabble in fantasy romance. My stories center on strong women navigating life, identity, and second chances, and the men who challenge, support, and sometimes completely upend their carefully built worlds. I’m drawn to relationships that are layered, where attraction and restraint collide, and where connection isn’t always convenient, but it’s always meaningful.Â
I currently have two completed manuscripts and three works in progress, each one building on the same foundation: tension, vulnerability, and the kind of love that refuses to stay simple.Â
